62-Year-Old Izueke Discharges 95 Pellets of Cocaine in NDLEA Custody

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have arrested one NWABUEZE NICHOLAS IZUEKE at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano for attempted smuggling of over one-point-five kilograms of cocaine. Sixty-two-year-old IZUEKE was found to have ingested the hard drugs in what the NDLEA described as ninety-five jumbo-sized wraps, while attempting to board a flight to China. NDLEA spokesman, FEMI BABAFEMI, disclosed in a statement that IZUEKE was arrested on Saturday January 31, 2026, during the outward clearance of passengers going to China via Addis Ababa on an Ethiopian Airlines flight. BABAFEMI said the suspect claimed to be into clothing and auto spare parts business in Lagos, adding that he decided to engage in drug trafficking to raise enough money to complete his country home at Iwollo, in Enugu State.
