COUPLE JAILED 22YRS PLUS FOR ILLICIT DRUG DEALINGS,AS NDLEA SECURES FINAL FORFEITURE OF LAGOS HOTEL LINKED TO DRUG CARTEL

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has secured the final forfeiture of a multi-billion naira eighty-room Hotel and Lounge in Victoria Island Lagos linked to an illicit drug trafficking cartel along with other assets.

The Victoria Island hotel, which was used as cover for distributing illicit substances, was raided by NDLEA operatives in April 2025, with five hundred and eighty-nine bags of Canadian Loud, valued at over One Billion Naira, recovered.

Similarly, a Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced a businessman AJAH JOHNSON UCHENNA and his wife ROSEMARY to prison for twenty-two-year-and-a-half after they were convicted for illicit drug dealings.

Justice DEINDE DIPEOLU delivered the judgment against the couple following the successful prosecution of the case against them by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.

AJAH JOHNSON UCHENNA and his wife, ROSEMARY, were first arrested in Ojo area of the state on June 13, by operatives of the Department of State Security with two hundred and seventy-seven-point-five kilograms of skunk, a strain of cannabis.

After they were handed over to the NDLEA, operatives raided their residence and packing store and recovered additional two hundred and thirty-one kilograms of skunk.

In addition to the jail terms, Justice DIPEOLU also ordered the coup to forfeit the sum of Three Million, Four Hundred and Seven Thousand Naira recovered from them to the Federal Government.
