CPC Designation: Security Expert Says Not Expecting Much from Ribadu-Led Delegation to US

One of Nigeria’s leading security consultants, KABIRU ADAMU, says the patterns of attacks by terrorists and bandits across the country have not changed, despite the resurgence.

KABIRU ADAMU also maintained that the chief drivers of the wave of violent attacks remain the same, with geopolitics, economic and social factors toping the chart.

ADAMU, who spoke in an interview on a television channel, said Nigeria appears to be under siege from both local and international forces, aligned to destabilise the country.

He also noted that the political class appears not to be handling the issue with the seriousness it deserves, just as he questioned the tone of the response of the President to the latest attacks.

KABIRU ADAMU faulted the response of the Federal Government to concerns of Christian genocide in Nigeria, saying that a clear roadmap was required to avert the threat of military intervention by US President DONALD TRUMP.

On the Federal Government delegation led by the National Security Adviser, NUHU RIBADU, to interface with the US authorities, KABIRU ADAMU expressed doubt about any significant outcome.
