EFCC ARREST 40 SUSPECTED INTERNET FRAUDSTERS IN NIGER STATE

Operatives of the Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 40 suspected internet fraudsters during coordinated raids in Bida and Minna Local Government Areas of Niger State.

EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale, said the suspects were arrested following credible intelligence linking them to suspected fraudulent internet activities.

Oyewale said items recovered from them include three cars, eight power generating sets, one Hisense air conditioner, two power stabilizers, 10 motorcycles, eight laptop computers, four bluetooth speakers and 60 android phones.

He said operatives also recovered fetish items that included three calabashes that were adorned with feathers, as well as traditionally made soap and sponge, a bottle of hot drink, 20 cowries, a waist bead and four lady’s underwears.
