FATHER MURDERS 27YR-OLD DAUGHTER, BURIES BODY IN SHALLOW GRAVE AT OKOKOMAIKO, LAGOS

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a man identified as Kamoru Ojo for allegedly beating his daughter to death and burying her body in a shallow grave within his compound at Okokomaiko, around the Ojo area of Lagos. Officers at the Okokomaiko Police Division received a distress call concerning the incident at about 0800-hours on Thursday, April 3, 2025, following which a team of homicide and crime scene detectives were deployed to the area. The police detectives dug up the shallow grave and recovered the body of 27-year-old Shakirat Ojo, which has been deposited at a mortuary, awaiting an autopsy to determine the actual cause of her death. The Police Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Command, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, saying that the case was being investigated, while the suspect is in detention, as the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
