More Troubles for Malami, as DSS Arrest former AGF Outside Kuje Prisons, Abuja

Operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, have arrested former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, ABUBAKAR MALAMI.

Unnamed DSS sources quoted in a report on Channels Television’s online platform revealed that MALAMI was picked up by operatives on Monday evening.

This comes after MALAMI was released from the Kuje Prisons in Abuja after perfecting his bail conditions in the money laundering charges the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission filed against him at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Justice EMEKA NWITE granted MALAMI bail, alongside his wife and son, in the sum of Five Hundred Million Naira each, in addition to two sureties each and other strict conditions.

It is not clear why the DSS decided to arrest MALAMI, but there had been speculations that he was also being investigated for alleged unlawful possession of firearms, in addition to the money laundering charges the EFCC filed against him.
