NBA, ETI-OSA BRANCH PLANS BIG FOR 2025 LAW WEEK

The Nigerian Bar Association, Eti-Osa Branch, Lagos State, has outlined activities for the celebration of its 2025 Law Week, with the theme: “Bridging Tradition and Innovation in Law: Advancing Rights, Ethics and Technology”, beginning from Friday, April 25, to Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
The opening ceremony holds on Monday, April 29, by 10am, at the Conference Centre, Naval Dockyard, Victoria Island, featuring the Hon Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Olanrewaju Alogba, and Mr Abiodun Owonikoko, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

There shall also be three other sessions during the opening ceremony, featuring presentations on the following topics:
• The Rise of AI in Legal Practice: Ethical and Practical Implications for Lawyers by Prof Abiola Sanni and moderated by Mr Tayo Ismail.
• Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Laws: Navigating Compliance in a Digital World by Mr Solomon Okedara and moderated by Mr Moshood Abiola.
• The Role of Technology in Access to Justice: Enhancing Court Processes in Nigeria by My Tola Atoyebi (SAN)

Meanwhile, to kick-start the 2025 Law Week, the NBA Eti-Osa Branch will observe a special Jumat Service this Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Central Mosque, Lekki, as well as special thanksgiving service on Sunday, April 27, at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, 3 Chuma Nwosu Street, Cooperative Villa Estate, Badore, Ajah, Lagos.
Also, members of the NBA Eti-Osa Branch, nicknamed The Coastline Bar, will take part in a Health Awareness Walk on Saturday, April 26, beginning from the Eti-Osa High Court to the Victoria Garden City, between 8am and 11am.
The grand finale of the NBA, Eti-Osa Branch, 2025 Law Week celebration is a dinner and award night on Tuesday, April 29, at the Conference Room, Naval Dockyard, Victoria Island, featuring a dinner lecture to be delivered by Dr Babatunde Ajibade.
