NDLEA Arraigns KC LUXURY, 2 Others for Trafficking 184.5kg Cocaine
Lagos socialite, AFOLABI KAZEEM MICHAEL, popularly known as KC LUXURY, has been arraigned in court for alleged trafficking of hard drugs.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, arraigned AFOLABI KAZEEM, aka KC LUXURY, before Justice MUSA KAKAKI of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.
KC LUXURY is standing trial alongside two accomplices, identified as BONIFACE FREEMAN OCHOCHE SULE and IKECHUKWU EKUGO PATRIARCH.
They are facing twenty-two counts of cocaine trafficking, illegal export of narcotics and money laundering.
The accused persons were arrested in connection with cocaine consignments, weighing one hundred and eighty-four-point-five kilograms, heading to London, United Kingdom.
They are accused of conspiring between July 28 and August 1, 2026, to export hard drug concealed in five consignments through a Lagos-based courier logistics.
However, when the charges were read to the accused persons in court, they pleaded not guilty to all counts and were subsequently remanded on the orders of the trial judge.
NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy, FEMI BABAFEMI, who confirmed the development in a statement, noted that AFOLABI, BONIFACE AND IKECHUKWU, are alleged to have conspired with ATANDARE OLADIPUPO OLUWAROTIMI and LATIFAT YUSUF, who had earlier been arrested in London in connection with the same case.
BABAFEMI said the charge sheet further links AFOLABI to the payment of Thirteen-Point-Two Million Naira to BOT Express Logistics for the shipment of the cocaine consignments.
He said AFOLABI is also alleged to have funnelled billions of Naira through a web of companies and personal accounts to acquire motor vehicles and various landed properties, in a bid to conceal the true origin of the proceeds of the illicit trade.
The spokesman said the NDLEA prosecutor ABU IBRAHIM opposed the bail application of the defendants and prayed the court to remand them in a correctional facility pending trial, which Justice FAJI granted, before adjourning the matter till October 4, 2026, for ruling on the application.
