Police Arrest 2 Suspects Over Indoor Cannabis Farm in Apapa

A Nigerian man identified as JAMES CHISOME, and his Polish associate known as THOMAS RAZVICKAS, may be on their way to prison for allegedly operating a high-tech indoor cannabis farm in the Apapa area of Lagos.

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command arrested 36-year-old CHISOME and 49-year-old RAZVICKAS on Monday, November 2, 2026.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent ABIMBOLA ADEBISI, said the arrest of the suspects was made possible through proactive policing, intelligence-led operations and collaboration with members of the public.

The police spokeswoman said a search on the premises revealed a sophisticated indoor farming facility, equipped for the cultivation, harvesting and processing of cannabis.

She said the Commissioner of Police, TIJANI FATAI, has visited the site to assess the extent of the operation and receive a briefing on the ongoing investigation.

The PPRO said CP FATAI commended officers involved in the operation for their vigilance and reaffirmed the commitment of the Lagos State Command to combating drug-related offences and dismantling of criminal networks.
