POLICE CLEARS PASTOR ADEFARASIN OF WRONGDOING IN VIRAL STUN GUN VIDEO

The Lagos State Police Command has cleared popular charismatic preacher, Pastor PAUL ADEFARASIN, of any wrongdoing in the case of a viral online video in which he was seen pointing a gun-like object at a social media content creator. This comes about three months after of the Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, with headquarters in Lekki, turned himself in at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja, for interrogation over the incident in the Lekki axis of Lagos. The Police Public Relations Officer, SP ABIMBOLA ADEBISI, disclosed in a statement that after a thorough investigation, including interrogation and a cautionary statement from Pastor ADEFARASIN, it was established that the object in question was a stun gun and not a lethal weapon or firearm. SP ADEBISI stated that “consequent on our findings, the Lagos State Police Command has determined that there are no sufficient grounds to proceed with the matter. The case is hereby discontinued.” The PPRO further noted that the Lagos State Police Command remained committed to upholding the rule of law and ensuring public safety, while maintaining transparency in all investigations.
