Police Service Commission Warns About Circulation of Fake Police Recruitment Portal

The Police Services Commission has disowned information circulating on various social media platforms claiming that it had opened a portal for the recruitment of new personnel into the Nigeria Police Force.

The PSC described such information as false and misleading, adding that they represent the handiwork of fraudsters seeking to deceive and exploit unsuspecting individuals.

In a statement by the Head of Protocol and Public Affairs, TORTY NJOKU KALU, the PSC noted that there is currently no ongoing recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Police Force, and no portal has been opened for such exercise.

KALU noted that whenever police recruitment officially commences, it will be announced through official channels only, including advertisements in reputable national newspapers, press releases, and on the official website of the PSC.

The spokesman said members of the public are strongly advised to disregard and ignore any fake news about police recruitment and to only rely only on information from the official sources to avoid falling victim to fraudsters.

He maintained that any purported recruitment portal not published on the Commission's official website is fraudulent and should be reported to the police, accordingly.
