Free Nnamdi Kanu Mobilisation: Sowore Meets GEJ

Sahara Reporters publisher and civic rights activist, OMOYELE SOWORE, says he has paid a visit to former President GOODLUCK JONATHAN in his ongoing mobilization to seek the release of pro-Biafra agitator, NNAMDI KANU.

SOWORE disclosed in a statement on his Facebook page that he visited GOODLUCK JONATHAN to discuss the compelling need for the release of KANU, who is being detained by the Department of State Services on charges of treason and terrorism.

SOWORE also said that former President JONATHAN agreed that there was an urgent and compelling need to address the decisively and justly.

He said other prominent Nigerians who have joined the call for the release or just trial of NNAMDI KANU includes former Vice President of Nigeria, ATIKU ABUBAKAR; Senior Advocate of Nigeria, FEMI FALANA; and Senator SHEHU SANI of the APC from Kaduna State.

He expressed the hope that Governors PETER MBAH of Enugu; CHARLES SOLUDO of Anambra; ALEX OTTI of Abia, FRANCIS NWIFURU of Ebonyi; and HOPE UZODINMA of Imo, among other prominent South-East politicians and leaders, would embrace his mobilization.
