SA Violence: 3 Nigerians Killed in Latest Attacks - FEMI FANI-KAYODE

Nigeria’s High Commissioner to South Africa, FEMI FANI-KAYODE, says three more Nigerians have been murdered in separate incidents in South Africa in the space of four days in this month of September.

FEMI FANI-KAYODE said the incidents were brought to his attention by the Nigerian Consul in Johannesburg, indicating the killings occurred on the September 18, 20 and 21 respectively.

FANI-KAYODE said the latest incidents bring the total number of Nigerians murdered in South Africa this year alone to twelve.

He said one hundred and twelve Nigerians have been murdered in South Africa since 2022, with South African security forces responsible for thirty-two of the victims.

The Nigerian High Commissioner further noted that not one person has been brought to justice or convicted for any of the killings.

In a statement, FEMI FANI-KAYODE, condemned these killings and appealed to the South African authorities to bring those responsible to justice, and take steps to protect Nigerians in their country.
