VANDAL ELECTROCUTED, AS TCN REACHES SETTLEMENT WITH KANO STATE OVER 330KV TRANSMISSION LINE
The Transmission Company of Nigeria says it has reached an agreement to resolve a legal dispute with the Kano State Government that stalled the Kumbotso–Rimin Zakara 330KV transmission line project.
TCN General Manager, Public Affairs, NDIDI MBAH, disclosed in a statement that the agreement was reached at a meeting convened by the Kano State Ministry of Land and Physical Planning.
NDIDI MBAH said that the terms of the agreement provides that the Kano State Government will compensate individuals whose cases remain under legal consideration and provide alternative land to affected parties.
Meanwhile, the TCN has confirmed the electrocution of an unidentified man while trying to vandalise an electricity transmission tower in Ebonyi State.
TCN spokeswoman said the incident happened on Tower 34, along the Nkalagu-Abakaliki 132KV Transmission Line in Ebonyi State, adding that the burnt body of the man has since been brought down from down from the tower.
