UCHE NNAJI CERTIFICATE FORGERY: ATIKU KNOCKS DSS, CALLS TO PROBE OF FEC MEMBERS
Former Vice President of Nigeria, ATIKU ABUBAKAR, has blamed the Department of State Services, DSS, for the certificate forgery scandal involving the former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, UCHE NNAJI.
ATIKU ABUBAKAR said the resignation of UCHE NNAJI on account that he forged his academic certificates has exposed deep moral crisis at the heart of the administration of President BOLA AHMED TINUBU.
Writing in a post on his X handle, ATIKU ABUBAKAR observed that what should ordinarily be a matter of national shame was now being disguised as a case of voluntary resignation.
ABUBAKAR maintained that UCHE NNAJI should not have been allowed the courtesy of resignation, but summarily dismissed and prosecuted for deceit and falsification.
He said what is more embarrassing is that the same DSS, which disqualified NASIR EL-RUFAI from ministerial appointment, cleared UCHE NNAJI for a position in the federal cabinet.
The 2023 presidential candidate of the PDP, who recently defected from the party, called for an independent, transparent, and comprehensive investigation into the academic and professional credentials of all members of the Federal Executive Council, beginning with President TINUBU himself.
“Nigerians deserve to know the truth about those who preside over their lives and resources.
“Until this cleansing is done, Nigeria will continue to sink deeper into moral decay, economic ruin, and global embarrassment. The time has come to rescue our country from the grip of deceit and restore integrity to public life.”
