Warri-Based Lawyer, JOHN AIKPOKPO-MARTINS, Accuses DPO of Threat to Life
A former Vice President of the Nigerian Bar Association, JOHN AIKPOKPO-MARTINS, has raised an alarm over alleged threat to his life and that of his client, AUGUSTINE OTOBO, in a matter before the Ororokpe Magistrate’s Court in Delta State.
AIKPOKPO-MARTINS alleged that police officers from the Ororokpe Police Division in Delta State laid ambush for him and his client on the orders of the Divisional Police Officer, after a failed attempt to abduct his client in court.
AIKPOKPO-MARTINS raised the alarm in a video streamed on his Facebook page, after policemen from the Ororokpe Divisional Police State attempted to abduct his client within the court premises.
Speaking further, JOHN AIKPOKPO-MARTINS said his client was accused of conspiracy and fraud, is a case where the complainant is not known and the prosecution had failed to proceed since he was arrested in March, 2025.
