World Cup Countdown: DAVIDO Highlights Mass Abduction of Nigerians on Global Stage

Nigerian Afrobeats star, DAVID ADELEKE, better known as DAVIDO, has performed at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Countdown Concert in Los Angeles.

DAVIDO wore a jacket inscribed with the names of schoolchildren and teachers who were abducted by terrorists in Oyo, with a view to drawing global attention to security crisis confronting Nigerians back home.

DAVIDO performed before music fans in downtown Los Angeles, as part of a multinational celebration marking the buildup to football’s biggest tournament.

The event is one of three simultaneous FIFA Countdown Concerts held across the United States, Canada, and Mexico ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
