2 PERSONS RESCUED FROM COLLAPSED 3-STOREY BUILDING ON LAGOS ISLAND
2 adult male have been rescued from the rubble of a collapsed 3-storey building under construction at the Adeniji Adele axis of Lagos Island Local Government Area in Lagos State.
The incident happened this Sunday afternoon, April 13, 2025, at No.4, Agarawu Street, beside Agarawu Primary Health Centre, Lagos Island.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin said operatives were mobilised to the scene following a distress call received at the Adeniji Adele Divisional Police Station at about 1400 hours.
CSP Benjamin Hundeyin said the police personnel joined a combined team of emergency responders from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) among others, to search the scene of the collapsed building for survivors.
The PPRO said the 2 male survivors who were pulled out of the rubble have been taken to the Lagos Island General Hospital, Marina for treatment, while the site of collapsed building has been cordoned off.
