Canadian Attorney General Confirmed for NBA Eti-Osa Branch 2026 Law Week Celebration
The Nigerian Bar Association, Eti-Osa Branch in Lagos State, has lined up activities for the celebration of the 2026 Law Week, beginning from Friday, June 5, through Thursday, June 11th, 2026.
The major highlight of the week-long celebration is a high-level keynote event featuring the Honourable Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Manitoba, Canada, Hon. MATT WIEBE, as a Keynote Speaker.
Other scheduled activities include Security Summit, Human Rights Summit, Prison Audit, Community Legal Aid Outreach, Young Lawyers Mentorship Programme, Health Walk, with a Cocktail and Dinner event to wrap up to wrap up the celebration.

The Publicity Secretary, NBA Eti-Osa Branch, MAKINDE AKEEM OLASUNKANMI Esq, announced the schedule of activities in an invitation letter to media organisations seeking to have the events covered.
OLASUNKANMI further disclosed that the leadership of the NBA Eti-Osa Branch has also secured the commitment of the Attorneys-General and Commissioners of Justice of the six South-Western states of Nigeria to participate in the scheduled activities.
“The upcoming Law Week is shaping into what many stakeholders within the legal community have already described as one of the most ambitious and globally connected Law Week programmes ever put together by a relatively young Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association” OLASUNKANMI stated.
The NBA spokesman noted that the 2026 Law Week celebration would go down as a “historic convergence of legal minds and policymakers”, stressing that it was already generating significant public and institutional interest both locally and internationally.
