CP OLAIWOLA for Lagos as IGP Approves Posting of 13 New AIGs

The Lagos State Police Command now has a new Commissioner of Police, in the person of CP OLATUNJI OLAIWOLA. CP OLAIWOLA takes over from CP OLOHUNDARE JIMOH who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police and transferred to the Zone Two Police Headquarters at Onikan, Lagos. The changes at the Lagos State Police Command and the Zone Two Police Command, Onikan, were approved by the Inspector General of Police, OLATUNJI DISU. IGP DISU also approved the posting of former Ogun State Commissioner of Police, OLANREWAJU OGUNLOWO, who is now an AIG, to the Police Accounts and Budget Office at the Force Headquarters in Abuja. Similarly; newly promoted AIG MILLER DANTAWAYE was moved from the FCT Command where he served as Commissioner of Police, to handle the Department of Operations, Force Headquarters, Abuja. On his part, AIG HENRY IFEANYI UCHE was redeployed to the Department of Training and Development, Force Headquarters, Abuja; while AIG DAHIRU MOHAMMED was posted to Zone 15, Maiduguri. Confirming the developments in a statement, the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP ANTHONY OKON PLACID, said thirteen newly promoted AIGs were affected in the postings. DCP PLACID said IGP DISU approved the posting of senior police officers as part of efforts to reorganize the Nigeria Police Force for improve service delivery nationwide.
