Edo-Based Internet Fraudster Arrested for Corporate Email Hacking in NPF-FBI Operation

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force - National Cybercrime Centre have arrested a high-profile internet fraudster in Edo State, allegedly involved in cyberattacks against the email systems of major corporate organizations around the world.

The Force Public Relations Officer, BENJAMIN HUNDEYIN, confirmed the development in a statement, identifying the suspect as OKITIPI SAMUEL, who is also known as “RaccoonO365” and “MOSES FELIX”.

CSP HUNDEYIN said OKITIPI SAMUEL was arrested in a coordinated operation with the American FBI, following an alert by Microsoft Corporation USA, over the use of a sophisticated phishing toolkit known as RaccoonO365.

According to the statement, HUNDEYIN said the investigation revealed that OKITIPI developed the RaccoonO365 phishing tool, which he allegedly sold to other cybercriminals through his Telegram channel, who in turn use same to steal email credentials of corporate organizations between January and September 2025.
