Jailed Hollywood Producer, HARVEY WEINSTEIN, Bags Additional 15 Years for Sexual Crime

Disgraced Hollywood producer HARVEY WEINSTEIN has been further sentenced to fifteen years in prison for criminal sexual act against a former assistant.

This comes after a jury found WEINSTEIN guilty last year in a case involving one MIRIAM HALEY, who claimed that the devastating effect of the assault on her life and sense of security may never go away.

Reports indicate that WEINSTEIN appeared in court in a wheelchair during the trial and he denied the allegations but apologised to anyone he may have hurt by his actions.

This is the second time he has been given a prison sentence in the MIRIAM HALEY case, after New York's highest court overturned his initial 2020 conviction in a 2024 judgement.

Seventy-four-year-old WEINSTEIN has already spent several years in prison in New York, where he has faced three trials over rape and abuse allegations.

He was also convicted in a separate sex-crime case in Los Angeles.

WEINSTEIN fell from grace in 2017 after the New York Times and the New Yorker revealed multiple allegations of sexual assault by women stretching back decades.

He is currently being held in a prison ward at New York's Bellevue Hospital for a series of ailments reported during his incarceration.
