Military Boost: NAF Begins Recruitment, NDA Invites Successful Candidates for 78 Regular Combatant Course
The Nigerian Air Force has commencement its 2026 recruitment exercise for qualified Nigerians seeking enlistment as tradesmen and non-tradesmen.
The enrolment exercise is being done under the NAF Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 47/2026 Recruitment Exercise.
In a notice on its X handle earlier today, the Nigerian Air Force said the online application would begin from tomorrow, Thursday, September 3, and run till October 14, 2026.
NAF management noted that the registration is free of charge, and prospective applicants are advised to carefully review the eligibility requirements and application guidelines before submitting their entries.
Furthermore, NAF said applicants for tradesmen and women must be between 18 and 27 years old by March 1, 2027, while those applying for recruitment as non-tradesmen and women must be between 18 and 22 years old by March 1, 2027.
According to the notice, applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, with a minimum height of 1.66 metres for males and 1.63 metres for females.
In another development; the Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA, has released the list of successful and reserve candidates for admission into the 78 Regular Combatant Course.
The Armed Forces Selection Board exercise for the 78 Regular Course was conducted from July 4 to August 19, 2026, with successful candidates offered admission into the Academy.
In a statement on its X handle signed by the Academy Registrar, Brigadier General OA OGUNLEYE, the management said successful candidates are expected to report to the NDA Ribadu Campus (Old Site), Kaduna, on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
The Academy warned that any candidate who fails to report by Monday, September 14, 2026, will forfeit his or her place.
The NDA further noted that candidates on the reserve list may be called as the need arises through their registered e-mails and phone numbers.
Successful candidates have also been directed to present the original copies of their academic credentials, Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age, Letter of State of Origin, and the original copy of duly endorsed Parent/Guardian Consent Form.
