NSCDC PLEDGES COMMITMENT TO SCHOOL SAFETY IN LAGOS STATE
The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mr Adedotun Keshinro, has called on schools to register on the website of the National Safe School scheme.
Commandant Keshinro made the call in a presentation to participants at the Annual Stakeholders' Meeting for the year 2025/2026 session, which was organised by the Lagos State Government’s Office of Quality and Education Assurance in the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.
The NSCDC State Commandant, who was represented by the Command's Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Corps Oluwaseun Abolurin, said registration of schools on the website; www.nssrcc.gov.ng will enhance safety and security of school children and staff as well as their host communities.
He highlighted all the proactive strategies put together by the Command to ensure that social vices mostly found among school children such as bullying, cultism, violence, drugs and sexual abuse are totally eradicated in schools in the state.
The Lagos State Commandant also seized the opportunity of the annual event to extend the appreciation of the NSCDC to the Honourable Commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr Tola Ali - Balogun, for his support to the security outfit in the state.
