Police Deploy Surveillance Drones Around Pan-African University, Near Epe

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund has supplied security surveillance drones for deployment in the Lekki axis, in response to the emerging security concerns.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, FATAI TIJANI, confirmed the development when he led an operational team for an on-the-spot assessment at the Pan African University, off the Lekki-Epe Expressway.

CP TIJANI said the drones’ deployment is aimed at strengthening aerial surveillance and intelligence gathering to boost crime prevention around the area.

The Command’s intervention followed a viral online video showing two masked individuals emerging from a forest near the institution.

During the visit, CP FATAI engaged with top officials of the Pan-Atlantic University and assured them of the Command’s commitment towards continuously strengthen the institution’s security architecture.


CP FATAI also advised on practical measures to tighten security around the university, just as he warned against acts could sabotage and undermine existing security efforts.

He urged the management of the institution to take proactive steps to improve perimeter security, enhance access control measures, and maintain close collaboration with security agencies.

The CP assured that the Lagos State Police Command remained steadfast in its resolve to maintain peace, public safety, and security throughout the State.
