POLICE INVESTIGATE VIDEO OF LAGOS SCHOOL BOYS IN DRINKING, SMOKING, DANCING FRENZY

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, OLOHUNDARE JIMOH, has ordered an investigation of a viral online video purportedly showing some male students of Excel Secondary School in Ejigbo in drinking, smoking, and dancing frenzy. The Police Public Relations Officer, SP ABIMBOLA ADEBISI, disclosed in a statement that the case has been referred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, for thorough investigation. SP ADEBISI further noted that the incident was discovered to have occurred in April, 2025, and the he principal of the school, who doubles as the proprietor, has been invited for questioning. The police spokesperson said the school proprietor, whose name was not mentioned in the statement, admitted that the individuals seen in the video had already graduated from the school and left the institution. Nonetheless, she noted that the school management was cooperating with investigators from the SCID to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
