Trump Spits Fire, as FG Confirms US Air Strike on Islamic State Terrorists in Sokoto

The United States military have carried out their first precision air strike against Islamic State terrorists in the northwestern part of Nigeria.

US President, DONALD TRUMP, said the air strikes on Thursday were powerful and deadly, just as the US Department of Defense said multiple ISIS terrorists were killed in the attack.

In a post on his social media handles, President TRUMP recalled that he had warned that there would be hell to pay if the terrorists did not stop the slaughtering of Christians in Nigeria.

"Tonight, at my direction as Commander in Chief, the United States launched a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria, who have been targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians, at levels not seen for many years, and even Centuries! I have previously warned these Terrorists that if they did not stop the slaughtering of Christians, there would be hell to pay, and tonight, there was. The Department of War executed numerous perfect strikes, as only the United States is capable of doing. Under my leadership, our Country will not allow Radical Islamic Terrorism to prosper. May God Bless our Military, and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all, including the dead Terrorists, of which there will be many more if their slaughter of Christians continues."

In a separate post on X, the US Africa Command said it conducted the air strike in Sokoto State at the request of Nigerian authorities, adding that multiple ISIS terrorists were killed in the attack.

Also, the Pentagon chief PETE HEGSETH also took to X to praise the department for its readiness to take action in Nigeria, adding that he was grateful for Nigerian government support and cooperation.

Similarly, the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has confirmed what it described as ongoing security and intelligence cooperation between Nigeria and the United States to address terrorism and violent extremism in the country.

In a statement by the Ministry’s spokesperson, KIMIEBI EBIENFA, said that cooperation has led to precision hits on terrorist targets in Nigeria by air strikes in the North West.
