ADC Berates APC-Led Govt, Fuel Pump Price Hits N1,470

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has blamed President BOLA TINUBU for the hike in the [up price of petrol, which has further worsened the economic hardship in the country.

With petrol now selling for up to One Thousand, Four Hundred and Seventy Naira per liter, the ADC said the situation has made transportation and other basic necessities more expensive.

In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, BOLAJI ABDULLAHI, the ADC noted that the Tinubu Administration was now pushing Nigerians dangerously close to the limits of human endurance.

The ADC spokesman noted that the impact of higher petrol prices was being felt across food, transportation, electricity, education and other areas of daily life.

He said President TINUBU has turned the petrol pump into an instrument of punishment for everyday Nigerians.

The ADC also cited complained about private schools increasing fees by between thirty and forty percent, further worsening the economic pressure on families.

The opposition party noted that the increases were taking place at a time when incomes had not risen by a similar margin, with parents having to contend with higher costs of fuel, food, rent, transportation and education.

It noted that a reform that continuously makes the people poorer is not working, adding also that an economic policy that produces impressive figures at government briefings but hunger in Nigerian homes is a failure.
