MAN SURRENDERS TO EFCC, CONFESSES OBTAINING OVER N9M THROUGH JOB SCAM

One Idris Adamu has made a dramatic surrender of himself at the Gombe Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for the crime of impersonation and obtaining by false pretence.

Idris Adamu is reported to have walked into the EFCC’s Zonal Directorate on Monday afternoon, June 2, 2025, and confessed to the Acting Zonal Director that he had obtained over nine million naira from different people he promised fake employment opportunities in Federal Government agencies.

EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale, who confirmed the incident in a statement, said the middle-aged man was immediately moved to the Investigation Department for a thorough evaluation of his claims.
