NFF APPROVES SECONDARY SCHOOLS FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP IN HONOUR OF LATE GREEN EAGLE, SAMUEL OKWARAJI

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has approved a new championship for secondary schools across the country in the memory of late Green Eagles player, SAM OKWARAJI

The NFF approved the Samuel Okwaraji Memorial Championship after the Senate Committee on Sports Development approved the proposal by the Samuel Okwaraji Foundation.

The development comes nearly thirty-six years after the tragic death of SAMUEL OKWARAJI who slummed at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, during a FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Angola in August 1989.
