NFF Denies Rift in Super Eagles Camp, Ahead of AFCON Quarter-Finals
The Nigeria Football Federation has dismissed concerns about anxiety within the camp of the Super Eagles in Morocco, as the team prepares for their quarter-final match against Algeria.
The concerns were sparked by VICTOR OSIMHEN’s spat with ADEMOLA LOOKMAN during the Eagles four-zero victory over Mozambique at the Fez Stadium on Monday.
LOOKMAN, who was named Man of the Match for his spectacular performance, has said he had no issue with OSIMHEN, just as the NFF confirmed that the matter had been resolved internally.
Meanwhile, Algeria booked their spot in the AFCON quarter-finals on Saturday at the expense of the Democratic Republic of Congo, following a one-zero victory, courtesy of a late strike by substitute ADIL BOULBINA during the tensed game at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat.
Similarly; defending champions, Ivory Coast defeated Burkina Faso three-zero yesterday to set up a quarter-final clash against Egypt in the southern Moroccan coastal city of Agadir.
