PDP CRISIS: Amah Abraham Downplays Expulsion; Defends Wike Support for Tinubu
Parties involved in the leadership crisis rocking the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, appear unwilling to shift grounds in their battle for the soul of the main opposition party.
Those opposed to the controversial national convention of the PDP, held in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Saturday and Sunday, November 15 and 16, 2025, insist that their position is backed by two judgments of the Federal High Courts in Abuja.
One of them is the Abia State Chairman of the PDP, AMAH ABRAHAM, who is one of the plaintiffs in two of the cases before the Federal High Court in Abuja, and among those purportedly expelled during the convention in Ibadan.
AMAH ABRAHAM insists that the only PDP leadership currently known to law and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is that whose tenure would elapse on December 8, 2025.
Speaking on a radio programme monitored in Lagos, Wednesday, November 19, 2025 - a day after violence rocked the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja, AMAH ABRAHAM said the development was unfortunate.
AMAH ABRAHAM dismissed the expulsion of some chieftains of the rival PDP faction, including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, NYESOM WIKE.
He maintained that NYESOM WIKE cannot be accused of anti-party activities, arguing that his open declaration of support for the re-election of President BOLA TINUBU in 2027 was a form of political alliance that could benefit the PDP.
