Rainbow Coalition: Gov LAWAL Questions WIKE's Divided Allegiance

The Rainbow Coalition of NYESOM WIKE, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, is still generating reactions within the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The latest to join issues with NYESOM WIKE is the Governor of Zamfara State, DAUDA LAWAL, as he dared the FCT Minister to make his political position clear.

Governor LAWAL said WIKE cannot claim to support the APC and other political parties at the same time, as he remains in control of a section of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

LAWAL said WIKE must choose where his political allegiance lies, stressing that APC state governors would not change their position, regardless of the FCT Minister’s comments on the issue.

The Zamfara governor said he would discuss WIKE’s political position with President BOLA TINUBU when he returns from his vacation in France.

He spoke with reporters on the sideline of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States.

The Zamfara State Governor is part of the Federal Government delegation to UNGA 81, led by Vice President KASHIM SHETTIMA.
