REECE JAMES Signs New Six-Year Deal with Chelsea
Chelsea captain REECE JAMEs has committed his long-term future at Stamford Bridge after signing a new six-year contract extension that will keep him at the London club until the summer of 2032.
JAMES, 26, had his previous deal running until June 2028, but the new agreement further strengthens his long-term commitment to the club he has represented since joining the Blues academy at the age of six.
The contract also aligns with the incentivised wage structure introduced at Chelsea following the club’s takeover in May 2022 by TODD BOELY-CLEARLAKE.
The English defender has made 225 appearances for Chelsea FC to date, contributing 16 goals and 31 assists. The defender was also appointed club captain following the departure of Cesar Azpilicueta in July 2023.
During his time with the Blues, JAMES has helped the club win several major trophies, including the 2021 UEFA Champions League, the 2022 UEFA Super Cup, and the UEFA Europa Conference League three years later.
