Rivers Politics: APC Scribe Urges Wike to Resign and Face Local Politics

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Senator AJIBOLA BASIRU, has asked the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory NYESOM WIKE, to resign and face Rivers State internal politics.

Senator BASIRU made the call in reaction to comments by WIKE, waring him to steer clear of Rivers State politics, after he cautioned the National Vice Chairman, South-South of the APC, VICTOR GIADOM, over his insulting comments against Rivers State Governor SIMINALAYI FUBARA.

The APC scribe maintained that Minister NYESOM WIKE was not a member of the APC and lacked the right to dabble into the affairs of the party.

He said as National Secretary of the APC; it was his responsibility to protect the interests of the party and all its members and structures, adding that his comments on the affairs of the APC in Rivers State cannot be said to be an undue interference.

Senator AJIBOLA BASIRU reminded NYESOM WIKE that he was not God, adding that he may be overplaying his political card by making threats against his person.
