The camp of the Super Eagles of Nigeria has opened in the Moroccan city of Rabat, ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup CAF playoffs.

The Super Eagles will face Gabon in the first playoff on Thursday, while the winner of the match will take on either Cameroon or the Democratic Republic of Congo in the final playoff on November 16.

Reports indicate that ten players were already on ground in the Super Eagles camp at the Rive Hotel in Rabat as of Sunday afternoon, including CALVIN BASSEY, ALEX IWOBI, SAMUEL CHUKWUEZE, TOLU AROKODARE and OLAKUNLE OLUSEGUN.

The team’s media officer, PROMISE EFOGHE, told newsmen that WILFRED NDIDI, MOSES SIMON, WILLIAM TROOST-EKONG, BENJAMIN FREDERICKS and CHIDOZIE AWAZIEM also arrived at the camp before nightfall.

Recall that Super Eagles’ Head Coach ERIC CHELLE had invited twenty-four players for the crucial match, after Nigeria failed to secure a direct ticket during the group stage of the qualifiers.
