TANZANIA BLOCKS ACCESS TO X DUE TO PORNOGRAPHY

Authorities in Tanzania have block access to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, due to widespread access to pornographic content. Tanzania’s information minister, Jerry Silaa, said pornographic content was against the laws, culture, customs and traditions of the East African nation. However, Tanzanians have reported that access to X was blocked since the last two weeks due to rising political tensions and after the police account was hacked.
