Turkish side, Trabzonspor, has confirmed that Nigerian defender, Chibuike Nwaiwu is to be sidelined for a period after he picked up a thigh injury in Friday’s 3–1 Turkish Super Lig triumph over Fatih Karagumruk. Medical assessments, including an MRI scan, revealed bleeding and swelling in the inner thigh muscles of his left leg. Although the club has not disclosed a recovery timeline, the 22-year-old has already begun rehabilitation under the team’s medical staff.
