YAMAL SCORES BRACE, AS SPAIN DEFEATS FRANCE IN NATIONS LEAGUE SEMI-FINALS
LAMINE YAMAL advanced his bid for the Ballon d’Or as he scored twice in Spain’s five-four victory against France in a Nations League semi-final played in the German city of Stuttgart yesterday.
17-year-old YAMAL, who plays for Barcelona forward, helped his side into a four-zero lead, and later five-one, before France made a dramatic comeback, scoring three goals in the last eleven minutes.
Following the victory, Spain will now face Portugal in the Nations League final in Munich on Sunday, while France will take on Germany in Stuttgart in the third-fourth play-off.
