2027 CONSULTATIONS: PETER OBI VISITS OBASANJO, LADOJA

Former governor of Anambra State, PETER OBI, continued his consultations over the weekend, ahead of the 2027 presidential election, holding a meeting with former President OLUSEGUN OBASANJO.

OBI was accompanied to the meeting with the National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, YUNUSA TANKO, and 2023 governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Lagos State, GBADEBO RHODES-VIVOUR, who recently defected to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

PETER OBI was also at the residence of the designated Olubadan of Ibadanland, RASHIDI LADOJA, in Oyo State, where he told newsmen that he was there to pay homage to the monarch.

OBI said the gesture was in recognition of the strategic and central nature of the city of Ibadan to the political, social, and economic development of Nigeria.

“Most of the schools in Ibadan, University of Ibadan, for example, were attended by many people from different parts of Nigeria, and they are making it in all areas of human endeavors,” Obi said.

The businessman-turned politician expressed the hope that Oba LADOJA, as the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, would bring his wealth of experience as a former senator, governor, and business tycoon to lead Ibadan to an enviable position.

He said he used the opportunity of the visits to discuss the state of the Nigerian nation and the need for Nigerians to live in unity, fairness, and justice.

“The meetings make me believe that coming together of a competent team with capacity, compassion, and commitment to build a new Nigeria that is Possible,” Obi wrote on his social media handles.
