2027: President TINUBU Charges Finance Minister to Present Reforms Scorecard
President BOLA AHMED TINUBU has charged the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, TAIWO OYEDELE, to give account to Nigerians on the performance of his administration of over three years in office.
President TINUBU gave the charge as the campaign for the 2027 general elections officially begins, as he works to secure his second term of office on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
In a message addressed to Nigerians on his official Facebook page, President TINUBU recalled that when the reform journey of his administration began in 2023, he promised that the difficult decisions he was going to make would help to build an economy that works better for citizens, and a country that is stronger for the future generation.
He said the Reforms Scorecard being presented to Nigerians sets out what the reforms have achieved, what they have cost the nation, as well as the harm that has been prevented.
The President said the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy will explain the numbers, the choices made, the progress recorded, and the work that remains.
He said Nigerians deserve to see the numbers, just as they deserve to know what has changed and what these reforms for families, businesses and the country.
