AYA Diaspora Connect Donates Educational Materials to Asaga-Ohafia Primary Schools

The 2026/27 academic session kicks off on an exciting note for pupils and teachers of primary schools in Asaga-Ohafia, Ohafia Local Government Area, Abia State. This is due to goodwill gesture extended to the schools by the diaspora wing of the Asaga Youth Association (AYA).

Better known as AYA Diaspora Connect, the umbrella body all Asaga youths overseas, donated over one thousand exercise books, plus several packets of pens and pencils, for distribution to pupils across the four schools.

The benefiting schools comprise Uma Ukpai Memorial Primary School, Otodo Modern Primary School, Amaetiti Primary School, and Ogbokwe Primary School. Uma Ukpai Memorial Primary School received 294 pieces of 60-leaves excecise books, 4 packets of pens and 14 packets of HB pencils.

A representative of AYA Diaspora Connect, Mr. FELIX OKA UKPAI, was joined by other members of AYA Home Branch for the presentation of the items to the various schools, with a view to encouraging the pupils and promoting educational excellence in Asaga-Ohafia community.

In response, the recipients of the educational materials expressed excitement over the gesture, extended their gratitude to the Asaga Youth Association for the generosity and prayed for the continued growth, unity, and prosperity of all Asagans, both at home and in the diasporas.
