CP BAKORI MOVED TO KANO AS NEW COMMISSIONER OF POLICE
The Police Service Commission has approved the appointment of CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori as the new Commissioner of Police for Kano State.
CP Bakori, who hails from Katsina State, replaces CP Salman Garba Dogo, who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police.
PSC spokesman, Ikechukwu Ani, who confirmed the new appointment in a statement, noted that CP Bakori was before now the Commissioner of Police in charge of Homicide at the Force Investigation Department, Abuja.
Ani further noted that the Chairman of the PSC, DIG Hashimu Argungu rtd, has charged the new Kano State CP to ensure that peace prevails in the state, adding that the Commission would monitor his progress and offer support for his success.
He said the Commission's approval has been forwarded to the Inspector General of Police for implementation in a letter signed by the Secretary to the Commission, Chief Onyemuche Nnamani.
