EASTER HOLIDAYS: AIG ZONE 2 ASSURES LAGOS, OGUN RESIDENTS OF ADEQUATE SECURITY
The Assistant Inspector General of Police in-charge of Zone 2 Command, AIG Adegoke M. Fayoade, has charged Lagos and Ogun State Commissioners of Police to ensure watertight security during the Easter holidays and beyond.
AIG Fayoade also directed the Lagos and Ogun CPs to ensure the deployment of Tactical Units around Shagamu Interchange, OPIC Long-Bridge, Badagry Expressway, as well as Worship Centers, Shopping Malls, Tourist Centers, Market Places,
during the period.
Other areas for police attention, according to AIG Fayoade are
Commercial Centers, Social Gatherings, Residential Areas, High-Ways, Motor Parks and Garages, Relaxation Centers, Train Stations and Bus Terminals, Critical National Assets.
AIG Fayoade also visited the Ojota motor mark and the Agege area of Lagos where he enjoined the youth to be law abiding, maintain peace and order. He also visited the Sango Police Area Command and Shagamu Interchange, both in Ogun State, to monitor compliance with the security directives.
In a statement by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Ayuba Umm, extended greetings to all Christian faithful on the celebration of Easter, and urged the general public to go about their celebrations without fear of violence or harassment, but to collaborate with the police to ensure maximum security.
