FUBARA VISITS PRESIDENT TINUBU, AS IBAS APPOINTS NEW PERM SECS IN RIVERS STATE
Things may be looking good for the suspended Governor of Rivers State, SIMINALAYI FUBARA, has paid a visit to President BOLA AHMED TINUBU.
This comes two months after President TINUBU invoked his powers under the 1999 Constitution and declared emergency rule in Rivers State, suspended Governor FUBARA, his deputy, NGOZI ODU, and the entire members of the House of Assembly, due to a protracted political dispute in the state.
Images shared by the Presidential spokesman, BAYO ONANUGA, show Governor FUBARA in a warm handshake with President TINUBU, both beaming with smiles, but there are no details of the purpose of the visit.
Meanwhile, the Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, has approved the appointment of eleven new permanent secretaries.
The Acting Head of Rivers State Civil Service, INYINGI BROWN, who made this known in a statement, noted that the Sole Administrator would inaugurate the new Permanent Secretaries on the date that is to be announced.
