LAGOS POLICE TIGHTENS SECURITY AROUND EID PRAYING GROUNDS, OTHER FLASHPOINTS FOR SALLAH CELEBRATION

Mhe Lagos State Police Command has put its operatives on alert, the celebration of the Muslim feast of Eid-el-Kabir gets underway.

The Commissioner of Police, CP OLOHUNDARE JIMOH, ordered the deployment of conventional police personnel, the Rapid Response Squad, Eko Strike Force and other Tactical Squads to strategic locations across Lagos State to maintain law and order.

The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP BENJAMIN HUNDEYIN, said in a statement that officers of the police tactical squads, including Counter-Terrorism Unit, Special Protection Unit, and Anti-Bomb Squads have been positioned at Eid praying grounds, mosques and other venues where people gather in large numbers.

CSP HUNDEYIN said the police personnel will work together with other security and safety agencies in the state, including the military and personnel of the Lagos State-owned law enforcement establishment, to ensure adequate security, safety and protection of all Lagosians and visitors alike.
