Presidency Mocks PETER OBI Over 4-Year Single Term Vow
PETER OBI has repeated his vow to serve only a single term of four years, even with a gun to his head, if he wins the 2027 presidential election.
PETER OBI finished third in the 2023 presidential election on the platform of the Labour Party, but he is now with the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC.
Speaking in an interview on News Central TV, said he reason he wants to do one-term is for the stability of Nigeria.
The former governor of Anambra State also criticised the current APC-led administration under President BOLA TINUBU for its economic policies, excessive borrowing and rising cost of living.
However, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, BAYO ONANUGA, has faulted PETER OBI’s one-term vow, and accused him of political inconsistency.
In a post on X in reaction to the viral video of OBI’s interview, ONANUGA said his past political decisions show a pattern of broken loyalty, hence his one-term promise should not be taken seriously.
