PRESIDENT TINUBU REMAINS FULLY IN CHARGE FROM FARAWAY EUROPE - ONANUGA

The State House has defended the prolonged absence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from the country, saying he remains fully engaged in Nigeria's governance even though he is away in Europe.

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga, made the clarification in a statement, stressing that the President's absence was temporary and in line with the communicated time frame of approximately two weeks.

Onanuga recalled that President Tinubu left Paris for London at the weekend and has maintained constant communication with key government officials, overseeing critical national matters, including directives to security chiefs to address emerging threats in some parts of the country.

He said his return to Abuja and the resumption of duties at Aso Villa will follow the conclusion of the Easter holiday.

The government spokesman assured that the President’s commitment to his duties remained unwavering, and that his administration continues to function effectively under his leadership.
