CAF Postpones WAFCON, Announce New Date

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the postponement of the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations earlier scheduled to hold this month in Morocco, to the summer.
The WAFCON was originally set to be held in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, 2026, but with the announcement made earlier today, the tournament will now hold from July 25 to August 16, 2026.
CAF said the postponement was due to certain unforeseen circumstances and the body ensure the success of this important women’s competition.
The Super Falcons of Nigeria will be one of the 16 countries participating at the tournament and will try to defend the title they won last year and hope to win their 11th African title.
