COURT JAILS INDIAN WOMAN FOR SMUGGLING COCAINE THROUGH KANO, PLUS OTHERS
Justice SIMON AMOBEDA of the Federal High Court in Kano has convicted and sentenced a forty-two-year-old Indian lady, NEETU NEETU, to five years imprisonment for importing heroin into Nigeria.
NEETU was arrested at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano in connection with seventy-two parcels of heroin, weighing eleven kilograms, which were factory-sealed in wafer wraps and packaged as chocolates.
In like manner, Justice MOHAMMED YUNUSA also of the Federal High Court in Kano, convicted and sentenced forty-two-year-old Angolan businessman MBALA DAJOU ABUBA to five years in prison for smuggling one hundred and twenty pellets of cocaine, weighing over one-point-eight kilograms, which he ingested.
Also, a Federal High Court in Enugu has convicted another drug trafficker EZE CHRISTIAN IKENNA on two counts of unlawful trafficking and possession of eleven-point-two kilograms of cocaine, brought against him by the NDLEA, following his arrest in January, 2023, at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, upon arrival from Brazil.
